Design notes
- A flat profile distributes pressure across the wrist instead of concentrating it on one edge.
- The closure is recessed, so nothing protrudes to catch on clothing or bedding.
- Rounded internal edges are skived by hand — the most labour-intensive step and the one most often skipped.
- A single rolling buckle adjusts the fit, so the same cuff works across a wide range of wrists.
Open questions
- Should cuffs be sold in interchangeable pairs with a shared key?
- Is a quick-release swivel a safety feature or an unnecessary failure point?
- Would a wider 50 mm version be more stable, or simply heavier?
