A balanced, professionally weighted tool with a slim tapered tip and a grip designed for control rather than theatre.
Materials
- Carbon-fibre core
- Braided leather grip
- Hand-stitched leather keeper
- Machined stainless steel end cap
Dimensions
- Total length: 680 mm
- Grip length: 140 mm
- Tip length: 90 mm
- Weight: 96 g
- Balance point: 210 mm from the butt
Design notes
- Weight is biased toward the grip so the tool reads accurately at low speed instead of relying on force.
- The tip tapers gradually rather than ending in a folded flap, which makes contact intensity more predictable.
- Grip is braided in one continuous run — no seams to lift or edges to catch.
- The end cap is machined, not cast, so the balance can be tuned during assembly.
Open questions
- Is 96 g too light for people used to heavier tools?
- Should the tip be user-replaceable, or would that introduce a failure point?
- Would two length options be more useful than one compromise length?
